PURI - The holy land of Lord Jagannath, his temple dominates the landscape for kilometers around being one of the tallest in Orissa. Besides whiling around and sea bathing in the sea along the golden beach, one can visit places like Sonar Gouranga, Tota Gopinath and Gundicha temples, Narendra Sarovar Lake, Siddha Bakul and Gambhira, sanctified by Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. From Puri, one can cover the circuit of Konark to see the Temple of the Sun God of Konark - an architectural marvel and the temple city of Bhubaneswar including historical sites of Khandagiri and Udayagiri as well as the famous zoological park of Nandankanan, thus forming a virtual triangle popularly known as "Swarna Tribhuj" or the golden triangle. On the way to Bhubaneswar lies Pipili, famous for patching cloth design locally known as Chandua.

GOPALPUR - probably taking its name from the temple of Venugopal situated there, Gopalpur on the Bay of Bengal coast in Ganjam district in the southern part of Odisha, is now a famous sea beach and tourist destination. One can climb atop the lighthouse during certain hours of the day from where the view is splendid and one can see at a glance the entire town. Gopalour-on-sea is also famous for its 'beach festival' organized annually. A nearby beach is Dhabaleshwar, which also houses temple of the same name.
MANDARMONI-TAJPUR - Mandarmoni and Tajpur are absolutely tranquil beaches on the Bay of Bengal a short distance away from the otherwise conjested beach town of Digha. The beaches here itself act as motorable roads and recede during low tides when one can walk into the sea. Mandarmani boasts of a 13 km long motorable beach, probably the longest motorable beach road in India. On the beach you will undoubtedly get the chance to feel the tranquility.
